The Declutter Diaries is a series of posts I did for a former blog as a glimpse inside a real decluttering project [with occasional editorial comments from my present self]. You can start with Day One here.
Just For Fun: Clutter Quizzes
Here are a few online clutter quizzes you can take to find out how bad your clutter problem really is. [As we all know, the internet is a constantly changing place, so some of these quizzes are no longer available. If they are, the link is there. I also threw in some newer ones.]
Julie Morgenstern on Oprah–What causes your clutter? 15 question true/false quiz to put you into one of three basic categories with some possible solutions offered. [No longer available] As I suspected, it’s not technical problems for me.
Peter Walsh on Oprah–Clutter assessment. 14 question multiple choice quiz. Gives you a score and then a selection of tips for organizing. Hmm, Peter seems to think my problem isn’t TOO bad… [I retook this one and it still isn’t too bad. The new results say that I am a clutter victim. Sounds dramatic, doesn’t it? Here’s a newer quiz by Peter Walsh. In this one I seem to be fairly average in the clutter department–not too much of a hoarder.]
Prevention Magazine–What’s your clutter personality? 20 question multiple choice quiz. Gives you a profile at the end. [No longer available] This one really nailed me! [I’m curious now about what exactly I thought was so spot on!]

Find Your Clutter Personality. According to this one, I’m a Stasher–also true.]
